Berlin (Reuters) – The German economy has caught a good start.
The Ifo Business Climate Barometer climbed in January from 105.5 to 106.7 points, such as the Munich-based Ifo Institute announced on Monday to its survey of 7,000 managers. This was the third consecutive increase, which is considered a reliable indicator of a change for the better. Reuters poll of economists, an increase of 106.3 meters were expecting.
“The German economy has good start to the new year,” said Ifo President Hans-Werner Sinn. The managers assessed both their situation and their business outlook optimistic.
Economists assume that Europe’s largest economy will grow this year by abou t 1.5 percent. 2014 had also been an increase in this amount.
