 The Nicaraguan government hopes that the waterway between the Atlantic and Pacific an economic boom, activists fear environmental damage. Critics also doubt that the company responsible can lift the mega-project.

 


 

In Central America Nicaragua which construction has started on the channel between the Atlantic and Pacific.
